Supplements/medications

Hello,

I am curious to know what you think about this theory:

Could the fact that three out of four people in the US currently take at least one drug daily have anything to do with the rise of gluten intolerance? Could these drugs, no matter what they are, be affecting the GI tract, sliming and squashing the villi, as they are transported thru the body. Could even gluten intolerance just be the GI tract, having been damaged by years of drugs, having a rough time trying to digest wheat with a good part of the villi damaged??

Drugs, or supplements, have no bulk or roughage. Could they possibly be coating the GI tract, the way an old drain pipe gets corroded and plugged after years of dirty water?

Thanks for the input.

Mike
