Re: What is under my scalp, what are the bumps and what are the white hairs?
Thank you Shroom for your response. I have read everything I can find on morgellons. Three years ago, looking back, hearing about fibers exiting the skin, I clearly remember thinking to myself how grateful I felt that my symptoms were not the same. Now I do have the fibers coming out of my skin and specifically my scalp. They look like shiny plastic, very pretty. Pink, red, blue and green are especially shiny and the colors are so rich and vivid. Most all are curvy, traveling up, under, over or behind the hair follicle. Some get very wrapped up with each other, twirl into tiny curls, dip under the scalp, come up only to wrap around a stub of hair, move into an empty follicle then come up out of a follicle several doors down. The bright light of the dynolite hand held microscope seems to cause the fibers to move. When I think about it, the white and/or black or brown creature that has legs on it isn't moving, at least not visible to me. I feel the legs crawling and the worms that move on the outside of my scalp and under my scalp. They feel like a snake slowly slithering on my head. Maybe the plastic looking bright fibers develop secondary or is related to the length of time from onset. I have soaked some expensive sets of sheets with a brown colored sweat that stains the sheets, nothing I have washed the sheets with has ever removed the brown stain. Since I don't see actual moving or active bugs or worms I am leaning more towards morgellons. Thanks for listening and for your thoughts. This truly is a lonely illness.
