How to stop recurring folliculitis

I have folliculitis on my thighs and buttocks, and I'm really getting tired of it. I have been using povidone Iodine for a while now and it seems to be working pretty well. However it always comes back. When I manage to get it healed, there's always another follicles getting infected. Is there any way to make it stop recurring? I have no idea what is causing this, and I'm getting really frustrated.
