It will definitely help you feel better, and when you feel better you do things naturally that help you get to your optimal weight. Certain things like a congested liver/bowels can hamper reaching your ideal weight, however. And of course, not getting enough exercise or eating too much! :)
Soy milk is okay in small amounts, but large amounts of Soy are no longer recommended. I tend to only use dairy when cooking, cooked milk is great, or in small amounts is great. When I want a protein drink I use Rice Milk with egg, flax seed oil, cinamon and lecithin.
