I believe that the world is not a perfectly run machine and does run on Karma...The sins of the father... etc..visiting the offspring unto the third generation...etc... The soul is not attached to Karma though... Our soul is a perfect gem...unkillable...indestructable and perfect... When a soul gets in a body though...the soul is in a constant battle with the karmaic body... sometimes the body wins and the soul leaves the body... Perhaps a soul attempts to enter and does not want to enter a sick or spiritually diseased body or it enters the womb and leaves before birth... but that doesn't send the soul to death...it is just the body that is judged filthy rags and returned to the earth when it dies.... These souless bodies live out their lives and can not resist their impulses... Thier life is one of a tortured existence of lust and jealousy of those with souls.
