Re: Margarine VS Butter -swallowing the lies
"Well, ya, I eat the GOOD MARGERINE though!!"
That one little bit of stupidity on my part likely helped cause a great deal of my health problems.
I believed the ads that said "this margerine is HEALTHY for you"... those lies are still being perpetrated every day on TV in ads for margerine.
THERE IS NO HEALTHY MARGERINE.
And yes, it near to being plastic. I think most people would be surprised to know just how many things we put in our bodies that are made from fossil fuels. Its not just they HYDRONINATED stuff - which we all must stay away from.
Why don't the regulators take the bad stuff from the shelves? Why is there still "debate" about if its healthy?
Thats just how strong the industry lobbists are.Industry runs our government, and they tell govt that margerine needs to be sold just like it os actuall food, but its not. And its amazing how people eat it up!! nothing gets as creamy and nice as hydroginated oils.
Here is one thing to keep in mind:
AS LONG AS MARGERINE IS FOR SALE, WE KNOW OUR GOVERNMENTS ARE UNDER THE CONTROL OF INDUSTRY.
There is s slight movement in the Canadian government now to ban trans-fats, a component of hydrogination... they were not able to pull it off!! They tried because they know it is adding a lot to health care costs, but they didn't go all the way because they are under the control of industry.
Couldn't people replace such a conspiratorial government? Yes, but it would take a complete re-make of elections and nominations, which needs constituitonal changes... So NO, not form within... which only leaves us the option of overthrowing government, with bloodshed most likely... and we don't want tos tart another era by violence because it will then be a villent era again. Areoudn and around.
The way to beat them is to stop supporting them with our consumer dollars. Don't buy margerine or anything processed with hydrogination, dont buy new cars dont use oil - and that will break them economically and then they won't have the power to run over us like this...
Karlin - a consumer for the new era!!
{who USED to swallow the lie of 'good margerine'].
