Re: no "lost books" of the Bible
(please also see my reply to AveJoe)
There is nothing wrong with the manuscripts we already have. I've already posted many links on how well-studied the texts of the Bible are, and how no other ancient document has been as heavily scrutinized as the Bible. You can investigate many of these articles at my website.
The "lost books" theories are all very similar, and all equally based on nothing but the kind of conjecture your article displays about God's motivation and timing. Surely a find of such momumental importance would never go unnoticed by, at the very least, the Protestant community, yet their silence on this "find" is deafening.
Even if such a find were authentic, do you really believe we'd just throw out the entire rest of the Bible because of it? That would have to be the case, since the Bible we have teaches a unified view of God and salvation. If this "rediscovered" book said anything different it DESERVED to be "lost", and if it doesn't then we don't need it.
In other words, these "lost books" are complete irrelevant.
