Usually gum surgery is performed when the gum pockets (the space between the gums and the teeth) has become too deep for an individual to physically clean with a toothbrush and floss, and infection, or high bacterial count has ensued. I these cases the pockets' depth is usually 5 mms or greater.
Many times sinus problems are related to gum infections, although they are most often linked to upper tooth infection.
If the sinus infection is unrelated to the gum or tooth infection, the pads, good quality enzymes and salt water snorting may be very helpful.
