baby talk, 'jesus is lord'.... yup. all there. wow. this is THE MOST enlightening site i've encountered. Every post I read, I see so much of my abuser. Thank God i got out of it before it was too late. i managed to get away with nothing more than a broken toe, a black eye, bankruptcy, and immeasurable humiliation. i say 'get away with' because if i had not educated myself after some nurse instructors wth whom i work planting the seed by giving me some literature about domestic abuse, i just might still be trying to convince myself that things will get better if i only *listen* to him because, as you know, everything that happened was *my* fault.
