Did I mention mercury? Not sure what I said in my origanal post since my story is SO LONG (I have a 7 page typed health history that begins at birth and needs to be updated :-)). Several years ago I was led back to candida and joined a support group and went on this gals diet. Meat, low carb veggies, eggs, homemade almond milk, raw garlic and coconut oil. It put me in bed for a month with what I thought was die off. Several gals convinced me to research mercury and I read that if one has candida and mercury (I had 11 fillings) that one shouldn't go heavy into eleminating the candida as you might just stir up the mercury. SO, not knowing if I was having die off or just stirring up the mercury I went off the diet and the shots. I eventually had all fillings replaced with diamond lite which did NOTHING. I was a part of Andrew Cutlers group but for some reason was very apprehensive of doing his protocol and I couldn't put my finger on it. I did eventually try the ALA for a while which did NOTHING. All the folks on his group were still searching for answers. Even the gals who talked me into researching this weren't well yet. So I was led to other places (lymestrategies group for one, and back to my thyroid group to check into thyroid hormone resistance for another). I came to the conclusion through all my research that very few actually get well going the mercury route and I've decided to move on from there. The shots are for pollen etc. I had done them for 6 months before quitting and my hay fever was improved along with the chronic drip and cough. Did nothing for the facial pressure, puffy eyes etc. So I decided I needed to go back on them and NOT worry about the thimersol. In this day and age NOTHING is good for you so I do the best I can.I'm more interested in treating the candida right now to see if it helps. Thanks for the suggestions though. Carol B
