yeah this is terrible. if one of those bulbs should burst in your home, you got toxic mercury covering the whole room! what the.....? how is that better for the frickin evnironment???

the good news is that there are MAJOR breakthroughs coming with LEDS. by the time this whole bulb banning thing hits, its possible we will be able to light our whole house with ultra efficient LED's and this wont even be an issue. LED's use a fraction of the energy of regular lights, and they are continuing to improve. a new super efficient circuit yet to be released will soon revolutionize the LED industry. it modulates the amount of current being sent to the light and enables the bulb and battery life to extend by many times.
