As of August 1, 2007, I have been on Iodine for a little over fifteen weeks. I started at one drop, quickly progressing to five drops, then to five drops twice a day, and am now at sixteen drops twice a day. I had essentially no side effects, except for a few vivid dreams, at first. Three weeks in, I got chills, fever, and flu like symptoms. At this time I backed off the iodine, and then took a break for several days, as this detox lasted over ten days. The only other side effect I have had is a clear sticky discharge from my eyes, with the eyes being red. I take a one day break once a week. To date, I have noticed a definite increase in appetite control, more energy, and have been able to discontinue my medications, diabetic, high blood pressure and antidepressants. I have had emotional detox, mostly consisting of crying for no reason, and I credit this with helping me get off the antidepressants. Iodine has given me motivation to change my life and the ability to change my diet and lifestyle.
