The following is a dialogue with a gentleman in the comment section of a youtube video. This reaffirms comments i have made before and as well covers additional aspects of the topic. I believe that the false doctrines of the 100% God breathed bible is one of the most detrimental false teachings propagated by the institutionalized religious system and so blindly and undiscerningly accepted by multitudes of religious conformists who have misplaced their faith in this system and have confused this loyalty to mainstream religion and its popularized opinions with loyalty to the Heavenly Father. I believe the whole idea that says an entire book must be 100% God breathed if Jesus quoted it is flawed. I believe that lots of books are partial truth and partial untruth and it's reasonable to quote the truthful parts while not sanctioning the entire book as perfect. As one example, i believe that there are many false teachings within the so called Pauline epistles, but that some of the words therein are very good. If i quote parts of these epistles, this absolutely does not mean that i trust that every word therein is 100% God breathed, inerrant, infallible and "the final authority". Please feel free to share your thoughts. God bless.

@Joshua Easternhouse Yes i agree with you that not all of the "so called" Pauline books are written by Paul and that several of them are pseudepigrapha. This alone demonstrates that the bible is not what institutionalized religion proclaims it to be and what has been so popularly accepted by the multitudes of religious conformists. I also believe that Paul himself has some sometimes poor, confused, fleshy and false teachings mixed in with some words that are very true. As such i believe that books can be partially inspired and partially quote worthy while not being or needing to be 100% inerrant, infallible, God breathed and the final authority all as proclaimed by the institutionalized religious system. I believe every book needs to be discerned by the Holy Spirit, the true parts from the false and that the religious system that proclaims otherwise is not a trustworthy system. I believe this whole idea of the 100% perfect bible and/or canon is a major aspect of the institutionalized religious systems propaganda and lust for control. If they can proclaim they have a 100% perfect book (a claim by the way that is made by several other religions as well), they can attract more followers and they can use this book as they want, interpret it as they want, emphasize and de-emphasize what they want and thus intensify their control. As one aspect of what a mockery it is to believe in a 100% God breathed bible, the deeply corrupted Catholic church who some refer to as the whore of Babylon wants us to believe that its decision to canonize certain books and to proclaim every word within them as being 100% God breathed was an infallible decision made by their infallible counsel. Why would people distrust the whore of Babylon in so many areas, believing them to be the counterfeit church and yet so whole heartedly trust them with compiling a supposedly perfect bible? @Joshua Easternhouse A big question is which words are truly His. As a second part of this, i believe that He delights in those who seek His truth apart from institutionalized religious falsehoods and He understands that most everybody is going to get some things wrong. The multitudes of religious conformists who believe that every word in the 66 book martin Luther canon is of Him when so many of these words are not... all of these people are deceived. He knows this and forgives them. It should be noted too that Rev 20:15 is in reference to the book of revelation, not to the 66 book martin luther canon, the 73 book catholic canon, or any other canon of men. Whether the verse is true and of God or not is another issue, but even if it were true, it's not referring to the entire bible. God bless you.

Then of course the quote in revelation applies to every word of God. To take away from those books is the unforgivable sin.

@Joshua Easternhouse But you, yourself, believe that some of the books chosen as canon are not perfect God breathed books. So much comes down to what Jesus really said, what He meant, correctly interpreting it and hopefully through a translation that is not corrupted. I don't believe Jesus was referring to the Jewish law or the old testament as a whole since this deeply contradicts who He is and who He demonstrated Himself to be. I see Jesus as having corrected some of the lies of the old testament as in "you heard it said that but i say this". He can't possibly believe that it's ok for men to cheat on their wives but not for wives to cheat on their husbands and yet that is part of the jots and tittles of the book. If He said this at all, He must have been referring to every jot and tittle of God's true heart, His eternal and infinite Living Word, not any book written by men. God bless you.

I believe he has been the foremost distraction from the focus being upon Jesus and His teachings, rivaled only perhaps by the distraction of the institutionalized church system itself. I believe that several teachings of Paul are confused, fleshy and false, but i also believe this is true with various other bible authors as well.

There were no lies in the old testament. The problem Jesus mentioned was that with out loving god and your neighbor those laws were necessary. But if you loved god and your neighbor then the applications of those laws needed to be changed.

Without a preconceived notion of a perfect old testament, can anybody have drawn the conclusion on their own that such a double standard was a perfect representation of God's heart? "Wives don't have sex with any man but your husband lest you be stoned to death, but husbands, go ahead and have sex with whomever you would like as long as it is not with another man's wife". Do you believe that was perfect truth and that Jesus did not want a jot or tittle from that verse to be changed? Remember that Jesus said "beware of the scribes". God bless you.

@Joshua Easternhouse It sounds like you believe that God has established a double standard that allows husbands to have multiple wives and concubines, but where this identical behavior is strictly forbidden for the wives. I believe that God's true heart has always been one man and one woman completely faithful and committed to one another, not the multiple spouses and concubines allowed only for husbands and whereby the wives would be stoned to death for doing the exact same thing. I believe the bible contains a lot of truth and much of it resonates as such, but these kinds of double standards as well as attrocities ascribed against God's character are the reason why i don't trust these books written by men over what i feel God speaks directly into my heart. I believe that God's real truth as opposed to what is widely propagated within the institutionalized religious system is that every verse in the bible needs to be carefully discerned on its own merits and that not one of the books is 100% trustworthy including within their original form which no longer exist and all the more so after scribes have mistranslated them, sometimes imposing their doctrinal beliefs into their translations. I think you are very much on the right track by not placing 100% faith in the perfection of the martin luther canon, but i still think you are placing way too much faith in the idea that the old testament is or ever was 100% in alignment with the heart of our infinitely wise, infinitely fair minded and infinitely loving Heavenly FAther. Yes it is a double standard and god understands righteousness better than I do. Men and women are not equal in the sight of god but god has a equal love for both men and women. To think you can discern righteousness better than god is a blasphemy and a temptation straight from Satan. I do not by any means believe that i can discern righteousness better than God, rather i believe that institutionalized religion's idea and unrelenting propagation that the bible is perfectly of Him is a false teaching that multitutudes including yourself have been indoctrinated to believe. Your are trusting not in God as you imagine yourself to be doing, but rather in institutionalized religion and it's false doctrines that the bible is 100% God breathed, inerrant, infallible and the final authority. As such, you are talking as if the bible itself is your God and it seems that you are in idolatry to it, just as is true throughout most of the institutionalized religious system. The bible is partly of Him and partly not. I believe it is a blasphemy against Him and a temptation from the devil to place your faith in institutionalized religion's doctrines that a book which ascribes so many absurdities and atrocities against God's character is actually 100% His word when it isn't. If institutionalized religion didn't train you to conform to its false idea that the bible is 100% of God, then i think it's obvious that you would never have come to this conclusion on your own. I encourage you to be deeply honest with yourself before the Living God who still speaks into the hearts of His children about how deeply you have been influenced by the popularized opinions of institutionalized religion and how your beliefs have largely been shaped by this system.

This is a reply to # 2,423,698For me Rainy, it's about actually allowing the Holy Spirit to teach me as Jesus said would be the case. It's a matter of allowing oneself to actually discern by the Spirit rather than trusting in doctrines of man to be a replacement for this. The religious system has demonstrated itself untrustworthy in many ways, so i do not place my trust in that counterfeit system, including its false teaching of a 100% God breathed bible.
When i read of double standards, absurdities and atrocities ascribed against my Heavenly Father in the bible and when i actually allow myself to be taught by the Holy Spirit rather than trusting in false preconceived notions propagated by the institutionalized religious system, it is very clear that the book contains both truth and lies. Only false preconceived religious notions of a 100% God breathed bible would derail ones discernment from seeing this clearly... and this is what so commonly is the case within institutionalized religion. A lie catches on and becomes popular and then at some point it becomes institutionalized group think and an embedded lie that blocks out accurate discernment.
And when an individual is free of this deception - and when the religious system's false preconceived notions of a supposedly perfect bible do not block God's genuine truth out - it becomes clear that the Heavenly Father is severely misrepresented in many parts of the bible. The double standard against wives where they are stoned to death for the exact same unfaithfulness that is perfectly permissible for their husbands is just one example among many. An individual in touch with genuine Holy Spirit discernment that is not blocked out by false preconceived notions of a 100% perfect bible will understand that this is simply not the Heart of the Heavenly Father and never was.
What gets in most people's way is that instead of being taught by the Holy Spirit as Jesus said His followers would do, they trust instead in whatever institutionalized religion told them they have to believe in order to conform to that counterfeit system. In this case they are told they must believe in a 100% God breathed bible that in essence becomes a really bad replacement for actual Holy Spirit discernment and even worse it becomes idolatry to a deeply flawed book, an idolatry that inhibits conformists to the religious system from aligning their hearts and minds with the Heavenly Father as purely as possible.
There is a whole industry built around this deception.

PS: What do you consider to be God speaking directly to your heart? A few additional questions, ok? What does your discernment do with the double standard in the bible that forbids only wives from unfaithfulness and not their husbands? If you were not preconceiving the institutionalized religious teaching that the bible was 100% God breathed and the final authority, would you have concluded through your own Holy Spirit discernment that this double standard against wives was ever actually the heart of the Heavenly Father? If you start with the preconceived idea that the bible is 100% God breathed and perfect and that you must align in every way with this book, doesn't the bible become your discernment for you?... a replacement for what discernment actually is? Does increased bible knowledge and believing that God is a God of double standards, absurdities and atrocities equate to increased discernment in your eyes? If you are only willing to look to that book for God's heart and God's truth, and not willing to disagree with any parts of it, doesn't that book essentially become your god? This is a reply to # 2,423,715Ed, you are so messed up by listening to false teachers that I would not even know where to begin with you. I know what it is like to have God tell me one thing and to have Bible teachers teach me the opposite interpretation of scripture that differs with the personal voice of God to me. As you know, that is one of the main reasons I fell and was in a backslidden state for years. I know the voice of God. I have since learned that contradictions come from bad interpretation, or bad translation of scripture. Where there is contradiction you need to study with the help of the Holy Spirit to get to the bottom of the issue. Yes, this includes study of the original languages. We may not get all the answers, but I sure have uncovered some things that at one time seemed contradictory to me.
For example Paul does not teach against women speaking, teaching, preaching, etc. He teaches the opposite. It is how scripture was twisted and rearranged to give the false teaching in order to keep women controlled. I don't yet have the answers for every little thing you bring up, but you sure are off. Your way of thinking is how Christian cults get started. You could be a cult leader with your way of thinking. Many Christians know the voice of God. Many Christians have left the institutional religious system because of all the false teaching and yet you accuse most of them of worshiping the system instead of God.
Real Christians seek God and they know God left us scripture that He breathed to help us. It is true that we only have copies of copies today, but we have much accuracy with our copies in some of the best translations. Many of the contradictions have been uncovered by scholars who have studied the original languages. Most Christians are not as unspiritual as you make them out to be. True Christians have a relationship with God and know the voice of God. You act like none of us, but you, can hear the voice of God. You don't even believe in the deity of Christ! What kind of voice do you listen to anyway, thinking that voice you hear is God?
My advice to you is to stop listening to false teachers on YouTube and read your Bible!!! Wash your mind with the Word of God in a good Translation as you pray for the real Holy Spirit's guidance. You need to test the spirits that you are listening to!!! Don't sit in silence leaving yourself open to any and every spirit that wants to deceive you. That is not prayer. Actually talk and reason with your Creator. Don't waste your time listening to YouTube videos. Your discernment is too off. You seem to just find the false teachers on there. Be careful of videos that are posted on curezone. Many of those are filled with false teaching as well. Yes, we have some other posters who are in the same state you are in. I overwhelmingly believe it's a spirit of religion and religious conformity that has overtaken you among other things. You are appalled that someone would dare think for themselves apart from the institutionalized religious system to which you have sold yourself out... and appalled that someone would dare to believe differently from you.
Due to your extreme level of Religious hostility and extreme loyalty to your institutionalized religious system master, you have the hardest time simply dialoguing about differing ideas in a respectful manner.
Since you bring up cults rainy, the real cult, the giant oversized cult, is institutionalized christianity itself, originally birthed in the heavily paganized Catholic church. This is a reply to # 2,423,717When you see someone in danger it is not a personal attack to try to save him. If a child is running out into a street in front of a car any normal person would grab him in order to try save him from the danger that is sure to happen.
I have no power or authority to condemn anyone to hell as I was accused of in another thread. Why would I even want to do that? My only desire with my past few posts is to warn people of the danger of going there caused by false beliefs. I'm trying to do my part to keep people from hell, not condemn them to it.The Bible, that Ed picks and chooses what he wants to believe from, warns us to test the spirits. It seems as though this is one of many of the messages in the Bible that Ed does not believe as he fails in this himself. Ed does not believe that God came in the flesh through Jesus Christ. This is more than a clue, yes, it is a big red flag that something is wrong here. Whenever you hear this from a person, or a group, you should know to run for your life, your eternal life.
This false belief is what glaringly stands out in all false religions and many Christian cults. All false religions hold to this belief. It is something that they all have in common. This belief is a major tool to use in your discernment. Using this test makes it easy to identify certain religious groups as false.
You cannot totally rely on impressions or knowings that you get that you feel are from God either. You cannot even totally rely on an inner audible voice, or even an audible voice that you think is from God. We must test the spirits as the Bible warns us to do. Even if you don't believe the Bible in this, it makes total sense to test the spirits. We know there is a dark supernatural side that we fight against. We know that side wants desperately to deceive us. We know we are in a battle for our souls. The one belief that all false religions have in common is that they deny the deity of Christ. Any group that holds to this belief can easily be identified as a religion that is false.
Is a friendship worth your soul? That's something to think about. Your soul is worth more than the whole world and all that is in it. Many have lost not only friends who are blinded by this belief, but even their whole families. They chose truth and their own soul over the deception they were once involved in.

I stated my heart felt positions in a non hostile and non aggressive manner and you proceeded as is your long established pattern of dysfunction in situations where you hold to differing opinions to become hostile and aggressive against me with personal attacks because i don't agree with certain false teachings formulated by the false catholic church, the religious cult in which you have placed so much trust and which you so fanatically and so angrily defend.
Why do you think you are you unable to simply dialogue through differences of opinion in a civil manner without leveling angry personal attacks? I suggest it's because you are in idolatry to the false church system, various of its false teachings, and also to this system's partially true and partially false bible. I also suggest that this has clustered into anger and other issues of the flesh as well. When people are in idolatry and their idols are challenged, such idolaters have been known to lose their temper just as you have repeatedly done.
Think for yourself rainy. It is your behavior that parallels the arrogant and fanatical judgementalism of your catholic forefathers who tortured and murdered those who dared to discern God's heart for themselves and who dared to not submit under that institutionalized religious system and conform to its control, manipulation, domination, and false dogma. It is you and not me Rainy that insists that everybody has to agree with that massive controlling, dominating, lying, murderous cult's false conclusions.
By contrast Rainy, i encourage everybody including you to seek God for themselves apart from institutionalized religious coercion, that system's false teachings and preconceived notions... whereas you insist that people have to align with certain religious dogma that was birthed in the whore church lest you launch into hostile personal attacks against them.
It would help you a lot to try to not be so emotional, angry and controlling... with such high expectations that everybody has to agree with you... and for you to allow people to have free will and accept that not everybody will agree with the dogma of your religious cult, doing this without feeling the need to level personal attacks against those with whom you have a difference of opinion. You don't have to be such an aggressive watchdog for Catholic Dogma. I respect your right to agree with the Catholic church all you want, i would just ask that you don't try to force it upon me or others with your hostilities and other manipulations the way the counterfeit catholic church has been doing for centuries. You don't have to behave like your catholic predecessors.
I feel bad for you rainy in this religious meltdown you are experiencing and it's a shame to see you like this. I would encourage you to please humble yourself before the Living God and break agreement with this spirit of religion, religious fanaticism and hostility that has overtaken you.

You said that i only believe parts of that bible which is indeed correct because i believe other parts of it slander my Heavenly Father and unlike you and unlike institutionalized religion in general, my loyalty and devotion is purely to the Living God Himself, not to a book written by men and falsely propagated as 100% God breathed and perfect by the counterfeit religious system.
Apparently and ironically you only believe parts of that bible too... which is why you are able to sweep literally thousands of bible verses under the rug in which the one true God is referred to as "He" rather than "they" just as Lord Jesus Himself has referred to His Heavenly Father as the one and only God and He, Jesus, His servant. Co-equal? Not according to Jesus who said "My Father is greater than me" among other verses where He made His subservience to His Heavenly Father abundantly clear. Of course trinitarians ignore all such verses or dishonestly twist them to suit their false doctrine.
As well, if the Holy Spirit who impregnated Mary is a separate person of God, then Jesus has two Fathers.
My faith is in the Living God Himself, His perfect human Son as my Lord and Savior, and His Holy Spirit which lives within me and which is not a separate person, but a part of the person of the Heavenly Father (lest Jesus have two Fathers). Whereas and unfortunately your faith is largely in institutionalized religion, its false Dogma (100% God breathed bible, Trinity God, eternal torment in hell, etc), and in the bible of the institutionalized religious system which this counterfeit system so falsely and idolatrously propagates as being 100% God breathed and perfect.
Surrounding the idolatrous golden calf trinity God, it's quite interesting that you choose to believe selected parts of the bible interpreted with preconceived trinitarian biases and conclusions, while rejecting thousands upon thousands of other verses which contradict your trinitarian beliefs, all the while falsely proclaiming every step of the way that the entire bible is 100% God breathed and perfect including the double standard where wives but not their husbands are supposedly instructed by the infinitely wise and infinitely fair minded Heavenly Father to be stoned to death for adultery among many other double standards, absurdities and atrocities ascribed against the Heavenly Father's infinitely Good character. I choose to honor and worship my Heavenly Father, not a book that slanders His character in a multitude of verses.
I believe that you are in idolatry to that bible and this is why you become so incensed when the counterfeit institutionalized religious system's assertion that it is 100% God breathed is in any way challenged. Sadly you place far too much trust in the institutionalized religious system which includes fundamentalist bible college, and you refuse to even entertain the possibility that this system lied to you about its bible and exaggerated its virtues, elevating it to a state of supposed God-like perfection and treating it falsely and idolatrously as if it were actually the 4th member of its already false trinity Doctrine. You forget that this idea of a 100% God breathed bible is a man made doctrine, an area of religious opinion, and more specifically an area of false and idolatrous Dogma birthed in the counterfeit Catholic usurper organization as another tool in increasing its control, manipulation and domination over the blindfolded laity sheep, a "perfect book" deception utilized by other false religions as well including but not limited to Islam.
I had hoped to have a mutually respectful dialogue about the topic of the non-100% God breathed bible of the institutionalized religious system, explaining the many specifics of why i don't believe it's what institutionalized religion proclaims it to be etc, with other individuals peaceably defending why they believe it is what the religious system proclaims it to be, etc, but apparently your emotions got in the way and you felt the need to initiate hostilities including angry personal attacks. If you are done initiating these hostilities, i have no further need to respond to them.
If you choose for this to be a final good bye and to part as enemies over differing doctrinal opinions that a more mature individual would have been able to disagree over amicably, without initiating personal attacks and without destroying a relationship, this is certainly your choice. I will never agree with you and it is doubtful that you will agree with me. That means we are both wasting time. I do wish to part, but not as enemies. I have no time for anymore of this conversation. If others want to engage you in conversation, so be it. Some may chime in with you who actually agree with you. I don't imagine someone would ever speak these words of finality to someone who is not their enemy, so you might as well be honest with yourself about it. As well, this was the culmination of your original hate filled response in which you initiated roughly 17 personal attacks against me based upon my sincerely derived upon non institutionalized perspectives rather than simply dialoguing about the issues in a mutually respectful manner and supporting your opinions without diverting and manipulating with hostile personal attacks. If you're not my enemy, i would hate to see how much hostility and aggression would come out of someone who actually is. Everything in your behavior demonstrates that this is exactly what you are so you might as well just own it.
Hopefully one day you will learn to treat other human beings with respect even when you strongly disagree with their opinions. Sure Rainy and i just hope you are sincere in overcoming this tendency towards launching pre-emptive personal attacks against those who do not share in your religious opinions. Some of these personal attacks are blatant and others are more passive/aggressive with clear insinuations about such judgements against me as in how my relationship with God is supposedly not sincere, how my prayer life is supposedly not sincere, how i am supposedly not a real follower of Jesus, etc, but it's easy to see what you are doing. I just see you in danger so I was trying to warn you and help you. You do not see it that way so I will just agree to disagree. There is nothing more I can do.
