i'm totally with you on the salt thing. i never really thought about keeping it "bland" to curtail the chowing down aspect of it, but very true. and i will most definitely try your soup recipe this go around! mine is generally very delicious (and nutritious), but i haven't done the roasting vegetables yet and that does sound like it would certainly add flavor.
as for the bsm...i agree again with what you said about listening to your body. and my body tells me to put it in my lemonade. i just can't do a straight up spoonful of that stuff...pretty gnarly. but in the drink it tastes just fine and really does boost my energy levels. while i am very active while i'm cleansing, i don't do a heavy work out. long hikes, a lot of cardio, yoga, and some light weights and abs stuff. i've also started rebounding for about 10 minutes a day...just feels like it keeps my metabolism pumping for some reason.
ahhh...the north shore. such a lovely lovely place. i actually stayed at the south shore (poipu) but spent much of my time up north. i loved that amazing hike at the end of the road there (haena) that takes you to a secluded beach (with very crazy strong currents, i might add). i also really liked the napali coast state park...though it was quite a bumpy ride getting there! i tried zip-lining for the first time up in princeville ~ so much fun!! i'll always be a huge fan of maui as well...particularly HANA...such an amazing and beautiful area. i stayed in makena when i was on that island and am also a huge fan of that area. i'll have to check out the big island sometime for sure!
anywho...thanks for the response. i wasn't around email all weekend and i've been wondering about the whole bsm thing for the last couple of days.
