Re: EDIT.Re: Facts
Mouse,
I don't think anyone is suggesting that supplements replace a healthy plant-based diet after all they only supp-le-ment the diet or complement it.
There is no doubt in my own mind that fresh foods are nutritionally deficient compared with those grown over 40 to 50 years ago and Dr Ledermans comment that "if some foods are depleted in nutrients you just eat other foods to make up for it" misses the point........ALL produce except organic (which is still deficient to some extent) is deficient in vital nutrients.
You do not have to display symptoms of deficiency to know that food does not generally provide the "optimum nutrition" required by the human body either and where I have given examples in Ascorbate and Vitamin D3 previously.
Dr Sears MD has also commented on the fresh [produce as being deficient in nutrients in comparison with that grown in decades past.
In addition, I agree that wholefoods are more beneficial to health than nutrients taken in isolation but I would bear in mind that the supplements I advocate are all encompassing and act synergistically within the body.
INTRAMAX is just one example.
It seems that you have already made up your mind which is of course your prerogative, but after 30 years or so of the study in nutrition I beg to differ with your Dr Lederman.
Nutrient losses in the food chain are also highly documented in Senate documents #264 and #268 if you can research them.
Shall post again but time is of the essence right now.
