Re: Does the Mirena cause yeast infections

Oh my goodness 8 years now and I'm experiencing your life! I just wanted to know what you did/whatever happened with your situation.

Here's a description of mine: I am 25, I got my Mirena at 23 in hopes of keeping it until 28. After a while, I started experiencing unusually frequent itching-I was very active and thought it was just irritation. Not knowing what it was, I told my doctor during my recent pap i was itchy. Come to realize I had been suffering with yeast infections without knowing what they were. Since my last diagnosis four months ago I have another one. Unacceptable. I hadn't had intercourse. I don't understand.

Is it weird that I think not being natural/having a period/no IUD is causing this? Please share your thoughts, if you see this.
