I've experienced that ear pain too, it comes on and off if I've used too much of the wrong nutrients too fast (especially sulfur-based ones).
It's basically the glial cells around the neural branches, which are needing better insulation and less interference from the infections which like to steal nutrients from the cells.
When you're low on water-soluable nutrients (generally those found in the leafy greens) and have those fungal infections both inside and outside the cells, you get a condition where trash is backed up in the nutrient delivery system (lymph). Lymph nodes connect every tissue in your body, from the intestinal tract up to the brain. It's why emotions are communicated so fast from your gut to the brain!
Lymph carries nutrients up, blood helps carry trash out to the liver and kidneys.
Blood helps carry oxygen to the digestive tract too, which is why you should rest for 30 minutes for a fruit and vegetable meal, an hour for a grains meal or an egg meal, 2 hours for a meal heavy in protien, and for one heavy in fat, overnight sleep.
When the brain is competing for oxygen (about 40% of all your glucose stores are used up there while doing study and work), there's inefficient digestion. The body puts the process on hold so you can work and think and play.
This is basically why the jewish folk from point A to Z, even in jesus' time, generally saved their big meals for the evening (whatever they could gather) and grabbed fruits, herbs, or what was at hand (snacking) through the day. This follows the less-is-more principle.
I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties with the kid. They tend to suffer hardest under a strong EMF environment, and can't sort out for themselves where the stress is coming from... And age 3 is right around where they wanna get out and explore their world. if it's preschool all day every day, that's.. difficult.
Uhm.. Basically my thoughts are..
The dark leafy greens should really help ship the trash out, and proper fats get the neurons re-insulated. Mule team borax bath soaks (1teaspoon to 1 tablespoon per soak, see how you feel as you go) helps the body retain the nutrients you eat from the herbs and salads, and fungus doesn't grow well in it.
Dry brushing (just your hairbrush, smoothed along the skin from all toes and fingers towards the liver, and over the face, buttocks, stomach) should help with lymph circulation.
Iodine dribbled on the thick skin of the big toes really helps the CNS (central nervous system) and helps activate the immune system too, but start gentle. For a candida sufferer, you DON'T soak your toes in 30%
Lugol's Iodine or dribble super-saturated-potassium-iodide all over yourself. Betadine
Iodine from the pharmacy/chemist's is plenty.
