Re: Help Please -- Bromide & GABA Receptors???!!!
FF,
I've read EVERY pages on benzo.uk :) It's taken me a couple of months and almost bankrupted us, but I think I've read it all.
There are GABA receptors throughout the body, and the lack of being able to attract the GABA can cause horrendous physical symptoms...due to the fact that it's the GABA that's our main 'inhibitor', and without being able to attract GABA, all systems have the potential for going haywire.
People have had teeth pulled to stop the nightmarish electrical jolts, only to have the jolts still be there after the surgery...the list of horror stories of what unknowing doctors have done to unknowing patients in the last 4 decades is gut-wrenching at best.
Just fyi, in my mom's state right now, getting her to go outside for 15 minutes could take (at the very least) several hours of talking & tapping. Sadly & frustratingly, I simply don't have the resources to devote. We try to get her to come out here to the farm (she's staying with her sister in a small town of less than 500 population, and our house is only a four minute drive on country roads). There are weeks when we actually manage to get her out here several times a week...but lately (because of the snow/cold), she's been "holed up" and worsening.
I've just GOT to get to work now...thank you SO much for your consideration & concern.
Unyquity
