On the master cleanse, it is important that you cleanse for cleansing purposes. The point of the drink is to aid in your cleansing. You know this. The maple syrup is designed to give you energy (and from the sound of it, you have plenty of energy). You don't want to overdue the amount of lemonade you drink or it could have adverse effects. My best advise to anyone on The Master Cleanse is to follow what Stanley Burroughs says. The cleanse works the way it does for a reason...I would say continue at 12 glasses. Your caloric intake is plenty to keep your body functioning at a normal rate. You are going to lose weight, that's just part of the deal, but you shouldn't lose too much, especially if you're drinking 12 glasses.

Now, about the length of your fast. The most important thing about length is your tongue. You need to stay on the cleanse until your tongue is clear, but for no longer than 40 days. If you get to day 33 and notice that your tongue is pink and healthy, it's time to stop.

meanwhile, I am doing well. I'm a bit groggy, a bit calorie deprived....

I am looking forward to returning to my raw/vegan diet and I'm hoping that the next couple of weeks of fasting is going to reset the urge in me to eat non-raw things. When I first tranisitioned to raw foods I did a 10 day water-fast recommended by the Bragg family. It helped me SO much because it reset my pallette.

The hardest thing is just to keep going - the hardest part is not having my normal levels of energy. I have all of this stuff to do in preparation for my move and ugh!! No flippin energy to do it. I'm just pushing through though - trying to remember the light at the end of the tunnel. It's there, shining so bright....and like I said, I will get there.

I have been Water Fasting for 3 days now....will probably transition to juice next week...I can just feel the weight melting off of me.

Being 5'11 - I think 150-160 is a good goal? Anybody know for sure?
