Am very saddened to hear of your friend. I do not know how this stuff works. I mean, I do. But the "why us... why not us... why someone else" thing. None of it is fair. Will often come into conversations where someone has lost someone else, and all I can do is well up, gather myself, and listen for however long it needed. And it is never long enough.

One thing is does tho is provoke a strong need to give back in any way possible.

Agree with ya a million percent about everyone of us who is blessed with a spouse who dials it up irrespective of the circumstances. Suspect there are a few of us here who thank the stars for our 'other.

'tis always good time time to say... take a moment and go give your sweetie a smack and say thank you to whom or whatever.
