Re: How to treat a huge external tumor.

Wound care procedure that worked on a very large fungating external cancer growth on breast.
This method would not leak for 12 hours for twice a day changing.

Items needed:

1. Hibiclens, Antiseptic/Antimicrobial Skin Cleaner
2. ADAPTIC Non-Adhering Dressing. We use 3in x 16in
3. ABD Abdominal Pad Extra Absorbent. We use 8in x 10in
4. Diaper
5. Large extra absorbent Kotex
6. Sports Bra
7. Exam Gloves
8. Arglaes Powder, Antimicrobial Barrier Powder Dressing
9. Lots of gauze for cleaning and absorbing. Cut into at least 6 two to three inch squares.

Procedure:

1. Very slowly remove prior bandage, carefully stop bleeding with gauze. Use gauze pieces to absorb all areas that are bleeding until it stops.
2. Carefully CLEAN WOUND with gauze and Heibiclens.
3. Clean the CLEAN SKIN outside of wound with peroxide on gauze or Hibiclens on gauze.
4. Apply ARGLAES directly to wound. Using little circles of powder all over the wound.
5. Apply ADAPTIC first. We cut the long piece of ADAPTIC in half and the two pieces covers everything up. This holds itself in place.
6. Then apply the ABD Extra Absorbent Pad. No tape yet just hold it in place.
7. Now for the DIAPER on top of all that and tape it down. Be sure to tuck the ABD pad and diaper in under the area where the most draining tends to run out.
8. We then apply the KOTEX over the area where the fluids tend to run out.
9. Then hold it all in with one of those sports bras that stretches. The bra is part of the bandage.


Notes:

1. We used raw cabbage that was beat with a meat tenderizer hammer prior to discovering ADAPTEC. The sole purpose of the first layer is to help control bleeding that normally worsens when the old bandage is being removed.
2. This procedure is simply what we have found to work best for us. It does not come from a Doctor. We could not find a Doctor that would comment on the details of how to deal with this growth that was caused by a Doctor who performed a core needle biopsy on a very aggressive triple negative breast cancer.
3. This procedure is working good so far. We have only used this exact procedure for one week. Prior to this we would add pure aloe cut directly out of the aloe leaf onto the cabbage. This made a big difference for us on keeping the bleeding to a minimum.
