Re: What motivated me; the rest of the story... closure (EDIT)

"Grz, did you read THIS post?

//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=858354#i"

Yes I did. You may have called the group psychology... When I read it as it was first posted, I saw most of the post could relate with very little change to another forum here on the zone.

"It's all in what you focus on, M'dear. I prefer to focus on the incredible healing potential of this therapy and the mind-blowing info that is flowing through that forum on a daily basis."

I understand that. I focus on that too, even now.

"The reason that you received negative responses to your post(s) are:

A) posting misleading data with no clear explanation re: your reason for doing so, thus, perpetuating the fear."

What was misleading? What perpetuated fear? Please let me know because I do not see it that way at all. Is the misleading information you are referring to the symptoms I posted for Iodine toxicity/iodism? I have never seen the toxic level of ingestion posted with the symptoms, that does not mean the symptoms are not real. If you read my posts you will see that I did have some symptoms of Iodine toxicity. Bromine toxicity? Mercury chelation as trapper suggested? Maybe, but I do not think so... not now, not 72 hours later.

If a real post about my experience (I do not understand how my personal testimony can be seen as misleading) invokes fear, that fear is due to the perception of the reader. My experiences should not envoke fear however they should arm the user of Iodine with knowledge that will make them a better consumer of the therapy by being better able to understand when to back off if necessary.

Perhaps the fear response was felt when reading the case studies I posted on iodism?

I hope not... I posted them to illustrate my point for taking the action I was taking and again to provide knowledge to the people... does anyone here know when enough iodine is enough? Does anyone here know when to reduce dosing? Does anyone here know when to stop or reduce due to met goals?

Maybe a few think they know... I do know. Learn from me.

We are dealing with iodine here... and for every action in the body there is a reaction... what are those reactions? Are they all good? I would like to certainly hope so, but now know better based upon my experience.

It is a trace mineral/element, not a macro mineral/element, and although we absolutely need it and although we may require dosing for a long period of time, are our bodies, being so deprived of it for so long ALL capable of ingesting these quantities of iodine without negative reactions at least in some? I do not think so.

I stated repeatedly in my posts.

To be careful and be aware, that is all... does the word be careful evoke fear? I suppose it could. The same as when a kid goes to cross a busy street on his bike for the first time and his mom states to "be careful". What other word should I have chosen Wombat?

I also have stated I have, am (seaweeds right now), and will continue to do iodine. I am not going to stop, I absolutely see the value in it. I am not trying to discourage its use, instill fear or challenge its value either.

"(but my problem with Flechas is that he doesn't spend much time on detox reactions or other stuff...he seems to think you tough it out and that's it)"

//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=874787#i

Even the doctors disagree and apparently do not know what the long term repercussions are. Trapper always asks what are the long term effects of using the ML Alkalizing drink. A valid question he has yet to get an answer to... the same question could be asked of this iodine protocol. I would bet even the good doctors could not answer that question.

If someone like Flechas answers his patients on iodine detox questions to just tough it out... how much does he know? Are all the patients symptoms detox? A valid question. I would ask that now.

"B) the "delerium" post, perpetuating the idea that we're all "whacked"."

I know you took it that way and apologize. That is not the way it was intended at all... I meant it to mean;

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/delirium

"2. A state of uncontrolled excitement or emotion"

And from the posts definition first sentence...

"disturbance of consciousness (eg, reduced clarity of awareness of the environment)."

Which can be easily caused by a "state of uncontrolled excitement or emotion."

Please note that when we read the "side effects" for legal or illegal drugs these symptoms can also fit this definition.

This "delirium" can and DOES happen with professional sports fans (victory riots intense sadness at loss etc.) or fans of a famous person when in their presence... it can happen to anyone of us for any number of reasons, it does not mean we are "whacked". It can also occur as you have been wittiness to, those that discover something as promising as the iodine therapy for FBD among other things. Another weapon against the chemical assault on our persons.

"your "motivation" post explains much more. You're a good, clear writer Grz, and you had to know what sort of responses you would get to the original posts."

I did not anticipate nor did I know what response I would get... for the most part I live my life in the moment.

"I, too, am tired of the sniping over protocols, and I am sorry that you have been put into the position of constantly having to defend what so clearly has worked for you."

I appreciate that.

"and I object to your use of the word "albeit" in your closing statement. How could I be anything BUT enthusiastic?"

You are Wombat :-) I apologize, i meant it as a complement, but stated it in such a way that it may have been interpreted incorrectly. My bad.

"I love you, Grz, you have SO much to share. We're definitely suffering growing pains here, might take a while, but we'll get it sorted out. :)"

I love you too Wombat, and you are right... growing pains. We went through this on the ASKML forum too, and may do so once again when ML returns I am sure.

"and, ps.... I REALLY could NOT eat as much kelp as it would take to reverse FBD. That's a fact. I am not "anti" kelp, but it seems that one HAS to be wary as to the source. That is GOOD to know, for kelp konsumers:)"

I do not know that a good clean source of kelp, and/or other sea vegetables over time would not do the same thing along with moderation and/or elimination of caffeine, Xenoestrogens, and other possible food sources that cause/exacerbate FBD. None of us do... we have not done it.

I can only hope that people will learn a VERY valuable lesson and take valuable information from my posts because:

1. I have been getting between 5 and 15mg of iodine daily for over 2 years (had a very good running start compared to most people here);
2. I have been doing high dosing for 4 months; and,
3. Have been focusing on a mineral rich diet for over 2 years that may have helped me endure the high dosing as illustrated toward the end of this post...

//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=874787#i

My negative experience with iodine supplementation could be one of many if others do not exercise "care and awareness" which was the take home message I wanted people to take from the posts and why I continue to repeat it.

Possibly due to my 2 year head start with iodine, extensive detox work, and other VERY healthy habits I ran into a wall. I do not want others to have to do the same.

Back off the dosing BEFORE you hit the wall.

Of course with FBD that dosing may be in the 50 to 100mg range for 3 - 6 months. Just be very aware, each and every day and do not extend the protocol longer than you feel it is needed, especially if you lack the care of a physician.

I just hope that people can read my experience without bias and LEARN from it... I have absolutely NO intention to discourage the use of iodine and appreciate it for the same reasons you do.

Back atcha,

xxoo
